Personal Training

All kit is provided, even down to background music provision.  

Sessions are never easy but achievable with an element of fun combined. The brain must be stimulated as well as the body. A variety of kit is used – boxing, free weights, bosu, vipr bars, medicine balls, battle ropes, hanging straps, vibration bars to name but a few pieces of kit used. 

Sessions last 30 minutes up to an hr. with most clients training between 1 – 3 times per week.  

Jensen exercise doesn’t stand there with a clip board and pen writing figures, nor do they become a drill sergeant and shout and harangue. However, they do push and build each session creating a momentum-based approach to improved fitness. 

There is a focus on functional fitness – as in making the body suitable for every day living and improving the core and overall wellbeing. No stone is left unturned in the training methods.  

It is a real time-based workout however virtual workouts can be arranged to suit. 

Sessions are conducted in clients house, garden or a suitable outside venue like a park. If location suits workouts are provided in premises provided by Jensen exercise. 

Rehabilitation/Massage

An increasingly used aspect of Jensen exercise is rehabilitation of old injuries or fitness based around life changing conditions. Work has been provided for people with Diabetes, MS, Heart conditions, Mental health aspects, arthritic conditions to name but a few genres.  

Jensen Exercise is expert in providing health and fitness for those who live with ongoing conditions and life changing illnesses. Just because one is diagnosed with something does not mean all things come to an end, it means adaptation. A variety of rehabilitation kit is utilised to maximise client’s health and wellbeing.  

Training methods will target core and balance; calisthenics; conditioning work and joint mobility. 

Whilst it tends to be clientele over the ages of 40, it has been utilised with young adults and even teenagers. 

Jensen exercise has for over 16 years provided sports and remedial massage therapy to clientele. This is in comfort of own home, work or suitable location. All the kit is provided – table, towels, cream, music background. Massage can be deep tissue based or relaxation based or a combination of both.  

If injury rehabilitation is needed Jensen exercise can provide a variety of treatments to suit. Any soft tissue injury can be treated.  

Jensen exercise qualified via London School of sports massage which is the market leader and then gained Sports Therapy qualification via Active Health.  

Health and Outdoors

One of the unique aspects of our program is the incorporation of outdoor exercise, which provides numerous benefits, including a boost of vitamin D levels, stress-reduction, and an engaging workout experience. Our trainer will work with you to design outdoor workouts that fit your goals and preferences, while ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.

Outdoor exercise provides a refreshing break from the stale atmosphere of indoor gyms, allowing clients to soak up the beauty of nature while building their strength and fitness. Our trainers will take you on nature walks, runs, hikes, and other outdoor activities that will help you stay fit while enjoying the scenic views. Additionally, working out outdoors positively affects mental health, as it reduces stress levels, fosters a positive mindset, and increases focus and motivation.

Some examples of outdoor options are:

  • Stand up Paddle board (SUP) coaching. 
  • General water sports tuition 
  • Bushcraft  
  • Lowland walking guidance 
  • Duke of Edinburgh work. 

There are certain areas / rules of where coaching can be provided – i.e., SUP sheltered water.  

Virtual Exercise

Online or virtual exercise classes have become highly popular in recent years, for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, they offer the convenience of being able to participate in exercise classes from the comfort of your own home, without having to travel to a gym or fitness studio. This can be especially helpful for those who live in areas where there are no gyms nearby or who lead busy lives and don't have time to travel to and from a gym.then gained Sports Therapy qualification via Active Health.
